About
Texas holds a rich and diverse landscape of people from all walks of life that have genuine concerns about traditional values of moral decency, responsibility in government, and sound constitutional principles being preserved and uplifted in our Texas and American societies.
Despite Texas’ apparent political clout as holder of the second largest delegation to the Electoral College and the second largest population in the United States, its position in the primary election, which is governed by political parties, is significantly and detrimentally out of balance to its general election influence.
Texas is a critically vital part of the U.S. economy, currently providing a statistically and disproportionately high contribution to the nation’s job growth, GDP, and positive production across nearly every sector of the free market. In 2010, Texas created more jobs than all other states combined.[i] Texas is the 14th largest economy in the world as of 2009[ii].
Citizens from every corner of Texas have come together to bring Texas’ influence forward as an integral part of the national primary election process through a grassroots organized presidential straw poll, called the Saddle Up Texas Straw Poll, which is designed to give Texans an appropriate voice in the Primary.

MISSION
The mission of the 2012 Saddle Up Texas Straw Poll initiative is to provide constitutionally-grounded Texans a voice in the 2012 Presidential Primary race prior to the traditional bias of the early caucus/primary States.
